About me

Having graduated from Northumbria University with a degree in Fashion Communication in 2019, Cameron has developed a strong interest and enthusiasm for the lifestyle brand market. Currently providing freelance Graphic Support to the Barbour Global Marketing team, Cameron creates Marketing Packs with a sharp eye for detail and has a proven ability to articulate creative ideas and ‘sell them in’.

Cameron has a keen and extensive knowledge of the trainer and streetwear industry and this has contributed to a successful retail career with size? in the North East. Starting as a Sales Associate he has recently been promoted to Supervisor at the newly opened Newcastle city centre store. In addition to regular sales duties, he has shown initiative and professionalism by taking part in a live Q&A at Graduate Fashion Week in London with New Balance footwear designer Sam Pearce. Further, based on his interest for social media, Cameron runs the size? Newcastle Instagram account where he is responsible for the creation of multimedia concepts and execution, copywriting and editing, analysing usage data, facilitating customer service and executing product raffles.

A strong team player and collaborator, Cameron has provided ad hoc support to the size? Retail Marketing Manager including assisting and developing blog content for the launch of the Newcastle store. He also worked closely with the Multi-Channel lead and Brand Executive to activate and set-up outreach to influencers from the North East. Unafraid to think outside of the box, Cameron generated and led a successful collaboration with the North-East based Big Fat Donut Co and his idea for a limited-edition doughnut proved a big hit on social media and generated further interest around the launch of the store.

Never content to stand still, Cameron is always looking for opportunities to further develop his skills and experience and  always goes the extra mile. His Final Year Major Project at Northumbria University was featured on Instagram accounts such as @officialgfw and @thewordonthefeet and was highly acclaimed by his tutors. Further, in recognition of his passion and drive he has mentored final year Fashion Communication students at Northumbria University on a live brief with size? where he led talks on the size? brand and provided feedback on students’ work. He has also held online tutorials with fashion students during lockdown, allowing him to further develop his presentation skills. Initially invited to take part in a voluntary capacity, Cameron’s involvement in the course has proved very popular with students and he is now an Associate Lecturer for the size? module.
